Nicole Lintemuth never liked being told what to do. Her bookstore, Bettie’s Pages, grew out of her desire to create the kind of space she needed as a kid – and grew into a place that celebrates diverse experiences and stories. In this teacher chat, Nicole talks with EA’s Jennifer Buehler about Bettie’s Pages, how to find your advocacy community in unexpected spaces, and how advocacy work can take many different shapes.
“Go and find that community, whether it’s online, in person…find the people in your area and you’ll be amazed by the transformation in your experience.”
